Athlete recovery monitoring software
Loadwell reads your roster so you do not have to. It compares each athlete against their own baseline, prioritises who needs attention, and tells you what moved and what to do about it.
The loop, in five steps
Most tools in this space do the first three. The last two are where a monitoring tool becomes a coaching tool.
- 1. Collect
- Wearable signals from Oura, plus a daily athlete check-in covering energy, mood, soreness and motivation, with optional training and nutrition context.
- 2. Compare
- Each athlete against a rolling window of their own prior readings, not against a population threshold or against each other.
- 3. Prioritise
- Every athlete resolves to Attention, Monitor, Stable or Limited, and the roster sorts by it. Limited means genuinely not enough recent data — it is never dressed up as Stable.
- 4. Understand
- Open an athlete to see which signals moved, by how much against their normal, and the recent trend behind the status.
- 5. Act
- An AI-generated insight with a recommended next step, and a drafted check-in message you can edit and send.

What Loadwell does not do
Worth reading before a trial. These are deliberate scope decisions, not gaps waiting to be filled.
- Programming
- No workout builder, no plan delivery, no exercise library.
- Scheduling and payments
- No calendar, no invoicing, no client billing.
- Nutrition planning
- Athletes can log a rough daily context; there is no meal planner.
- Automatic training ingestion
- No sync from training platforms. Training context is what the athlete types in, and nothing else.
- Medical assessment
- Loadwell surfaces changes in data. It does not diagnose, screen or assess health.
Who it suits
Coaches running roughly 15 to 50 athletes who already care about recovery and are currently assembling the picture from messages, a wearable app or two, memory and a spreadsheet.
It suits you least if you have a handful of athletes you already know intimately — you probably do not need triage for six people — or if you are looking for one platform to run your whole business, because Loadwell is deliberately not that.
Frequently asked
- Do I have to move off my current coaching software?
- No, and we would rather you did not. Loadwell has no programming, scheduling or payments, so it is designed to sit alongside whatever you use for those. There is nothing to migrate.
- What does it cost?
- Founding pricing is £24, £49 or £99 a month depending on roster size, with a 14-day free trial and no card required to start. Full detail is on the pricing page.
- How many athletes can I have?
- Solo covers up to 10, Coach up to 30, and Studio is uncapped.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- If you have not added a payment method, access pauses rather than rolling into a charge. Your athletes and their history stay exactly where they are.
